Way to escape from obsessive neuroses

~Stop obsessive thoughts~

 

 

For people suffering from obsessive neurosis (especially for people who could not get effect because of too serious symptoms, in spite of various cure trials), I want to tell the way of cure I found when I had the same suffering.

 

It is not cure only for symptoms. It also cures (improves) character of being seriously nervous itself. (Being seriously nervous necessarily causes obsessive neurosis.) Practicing this cure removes obsessive neuroses and improves seriously nervous character.

 

Being seriously nervous. Obsessive neurosis. To say simply, such character and symptom are caused because thoughts (such thoughts as ordinary people live without thinking) spring out and run about too much in one’s mind. Then , it goes good only if thoughts(worldly thoughts, obsessive thoughts) that spring out and run about can be stopped.

 

 

The principle and way to stop are next.

 

First. Thoughts, obsessive thoughts seem to be occurring by themselves, of themselves. But, in fact, thoughts are caused by intent (intent, semi-intent of mind). (You can never agree at once, I suppose.)

 

Secondly. Thoughts do not occur without cue. Thoughts occur and run about with cue that something comes in sight, something is heard, something is felt, (or, something touches five senses). Thoughts are caused by these cues, continuously and ceaselessly. (Thoughts never occur suddenly without cue. Thoughts necessarily have cue. Following association of thoughts backward, you can recognize it.)

 

Therefore, to stop thoughts, when various things continuously come in sight, are heard, are felt and so on, you intend not to be conscious of anything, not to think, not to begin to think. Just the moment you are going to think, if you do not begin thinking (if cues are nipped off ), thoughts can be quite stopped (actually, almost stopped).

 

If you stop having thoughts, obsessive thoughts, obsessive neurosis (obsessive disorder) disappears. And if you continue this cure for a long time, thoughts get little and you get ordinary.

 

Additionally.  Understanding and practice of this method cannot be said to be easy. In case that after all it is difficult, and before acquiring skill of this method, try ' plain way ' of additional description at near last of this page.

  

Let me repeat explanation.

 

I also suffered from obsessive neuroses seriously. I tried various things to escape. But I got no effect because I was so serious. In fear condition of my mind that there would be nothing but death or going mad, I kept thinking about possibility of stopping obsessive thoughts that occur ceaselessly, cause storms of emotions, and cause disorders.

 

(( It is strange that other suffering people do not try hard to stop thoughts, even if they think that it will be all right only if they can stop obsessive thoughts that occur and spread in their minds.

 

Because thoughts have been running about in their mind from their childhood, do they take that, running about of thoughts is natural and problem is that thoughts have become obsessive ?

 

Are they convinced that these thoughts, obsessive thoughts are not intended to think, are not by intent, occur with natural movement of mind brain cells, therefore, it ought to be impossible that thoughts can be stopped by will( intent) ?

 

Is it that they can not imagine that intent is working because of high speed of thoughts?

 

Is it that they take difference of amount of thoughts is small in spite of the fact that ordinary people have much less thoughts ?

 

As a matter of fact, at first, I also thought so, but, the fear that death or going mad were waiting if I could not stop urged me.))

 

And, at last, I found the way to stop.

 

 

The essence is

 

1. Thoughts, obsessive thoughts, they are caused by intent ( intent to think is working ).

 

2. They are caused by cues of consciousness of something through five senses. They never occur without cues.

 

3. Therefore, when you get conscious of something through five senses, if you do not begin to think, you can let thoughts not occur.

At first, non α is rather difficult, therefore, do effort<whenα occurs, nonβ>. While continuing nonβ, nonα get possible.

 

For a long time, doing nonββ get less, at the same time, α get less.

 

 

I will write the way of practice

 

1. Follow backward association of thoughts that has continued till just now. Recognize what was the cue.

 

2. Repeat this many times. Recognize that there are necessarily cues.

 

    ~~ intent is working, at the time of capturing (getting conscious(aware) of) something ( as cue to begin to think ) among real phenomenons that five senses are feeling(perceiving), also at the time of beginning to think with the cue.  Then~~

 

3. When some phenomenon touches consciousness(awareness) (α), do not think(begin to think) (B). This is the point.

 

To say precisely

 

& at the time through five senses some phenomenon is going to touch consciousness (awareness) ( α), do not get conscious(aware) of it ( A )

 

  and

 

if getting conscious(aware) of it (when missing being not conscious(aware) of it), do not think (begin to think) with the cue of what you have got conscious of (the phenomenon that you have got conscious of) ( B )

 

  to say precisely further

 

& at the time through five senses some phenomenon is going to touch intent ( intent to capture cue to begin to think ), do not have intent to get conscious(aware) of the phenomenon ( do not have consciousness to make the phenomenon cue to begin to think) ( A )

 

  and

 

if getting conscious(aware) of it (when missing being not conscious(aware) of it), do not have intent to think (begin to think) with the cue of what you have got conscious of (the phenomenon that you have got conscious of) ( B )

 

4. Phenomenons variously, continuously touch consciousness through five senses ( α,α,α,-----), each time they touch, continue ‘ don’t think ’ ‘ don’t think ’ ‘ don’t think’ ( non β, nonβ, nonβ,----)  (even if nonα,nonα,nonα is rather difficult )

 

5. Then, thoughts, obsessive thoughts do not occur.

 

6. When you miss stopping beginning to think, association of thoughts occurs. To stop association, do not think thought that follows former thought.(nonγ)   

 

At the scene of ‘ thought ~ thought ~ thought ’, intent to think follows.

 

 intent to think ( ~ thought)   intent to think (~  thought)   intent to think ( ~ thought).

 

Former thought becomes cue of following thought.  From just the thought at the moment you intend to stop, do not think next thought (stop having intent to think next).

 

Practicing like this stop association.

 

7. Thoughts always directly causes emotion feelings (anger, anxiety, sadness,----).

 

Emotion movements also can be let not occur by practicing of ‘ don’t think ’.

8. From the time you begin this practice, obsessive neuroses almost disappear.

 

  In case that symptom of physiological obsessive disorder occurs with even a momentary obsessive thought ( fear thought, fear idea, at the same time, fear emotion), it is necessary that psychological and physiological states are usually calmed down by letting obsessive thoughts not occur, and also that, confronting scene that may cause disorder symptom, even a momentary obsessive thought (fear idea) is let not occur.

 

9. Till now I wrote 'can stop' 'can let not occur' as if able to stop all completely, but in life realistically we can stop rather much, but not a little thoughts occur willy-nilly ( in daily life, exception of sitting and closing eyes with complete mind concentration ). It is all right if you do not be eager to stop all, and, if you let anxiety obsession thoughts not arise, trouble can not be caused.     

 

10. Just to be sure I write.  Question that ' does making all thoughts stop lead not to think what is needed necessarily in life? '.  Such question occurs naturally.  But no worry. Even if stopping all thoughts, mind, mind function get aware of what is essential and necessary, and in life actually all thoughts are not stopped, not a little thoughts occur, in such condition, what are essential and necessary are got aware of and are thought.

   

 11. If you practice this cure for a long time, the amount of thoughts that ‘naturally’ occur will get ordinary, and your character will become to be not extraordinarily nervous.

  Sorry. The understanding and practice of this method is not easy. Especially, doing 'don't think ''don't begin

thinking' at the cue seems not easy. In such case, please try next.

  When troublesome thought, obsessive thought occur, try saying in the head, 'don't think' 'don't think' 'don't think'.... , and intend not to think.     ( confer detail description 2 (1) ) 

 second additional description

  Any way, point is [ do not think ].  Not only thinking 'don't think', but also, intending not to think, having intention of no thinking is essential.  As it were, 'switch' to think,' switch' to intend to think , get it 'off'.

 

Inner postscript   It is to turn 'off' the intent to think  worldly, obsessive thoughts, which is "automatically" turned 'on' by nature.

     In case of 'Intentionally' thinking (thinking 'by intention'), when you think to think (consciously) ,(thinking switch gets on), thinking begins and continues, and when you decide not to think (stop thinking on), thinking naturally stops. .

     is different from . ( worldly, obsessive thoughts cannot be stopped by only thinking not to think)

   In order to grasp the point of .  Close eyes in a quiet place, and by going back through worldly, obsessive thoughts associations, repeatedly observe the triggers that start thinking, and the start of thinking from those triggers. and get the sense of  beginning thinking and the sense of continuing thinking. More than enough. Then try to practice "not think".

 

 detail description 1     letting emotion of anxiety, fear not occur

  Thinking anxiety, fear image always instantly induce anxiety, fear emotion. ( Anxiety, fear image and anxiety, fear emotion are always in a set. )  Observing well, anxiety,fear image is cue of anxiety,fear emotion thought and anxierty,fear emotion thought psychologically necessarily causes anxiety,fear emotion itself (it is brain function ). (thinking 'damn' causes anger emotion, thinking 'fearful!' causes feeling fearful .)

 And, anxiety,fear emotion thought is what is thought ( what is according to the same mind function as 'think'). Therefore, anxiety,fear emotion thought can be let not occur with the effort of ' don't think'.
